Yes, the much awaited SP3 for Xcelsius 2008 is out there. Follow the below instructions to download and install. This is a big update from SAP. It’s more than a regular Service Pack that you’ve seen in the past. It’s not just bug fixes, it has a bunch of new features that we all were asking for ever since 2008 was released.
- Click here to launch the downloads page
- Click on “Get Crystal Reports, Crystal Reports Server, and Xcelsius downloads”
- Select Xcelsius, 2008 and Service Pack and click search
- Click to download the Service Pack
Things to note:
- The Xcelsius SP3 is a Cumulative Service Pack not an incremental. That means, you need to uninstall the existing version of Xcelsius on your machine and then run the executable that you have downloaded.
- While installing please keep the Key code ready. The installation will ask you to enter at at the beginning. This is the same key code that you might have received from SAP when you purchased the license.

Thanks for sharing me this SP3 update. I have visited the download web page, but the SP3 available are only for Present and Enterprise versions.
Since mine is engage version, so please kindly advise me where to find the SP3 for Engage to download.

The Enterprise patch is for all versions of Xcelsius 2008 except Xcelsius 2008 Present which has its own patch. The Key Code which you enter will take care of the version you are supposed to get as a part of your license.
Just download the executable and run it. Make sure that you uninstall previous instances of Xcelsius.

Hi Kalyan,
Before I installed the SP3, I couldn’t import my excel file, even the very simple excel file. I thought the problem would be got rid after I installed the SP3, unfortunately it persists.
Please advise me how to solve this problem.

I did face this issues and the following work around worked for me, try if it works for you:
Try importing an Excel spread sheet and when xcelsius freezes (just wait for about 30secs) then open Task Manager-> look for application “Microsoft compatibility checker”-> Right click on it and click “Switch to” then a small popup window appears->click on continue button then the pop-up disappears-> Then go back to xcelsius window and you will see the spread sheet imported(This tip works only with xcelsius sp2 and above)

Either, the Xcelsius group don’t fully understand Excel, or they can’t make the code. Either way, it been a disappoint for too many years.
After install SP3, my Xcelsius doesn’t export file to BO.
This option in menu is not able to click.
